By the ReNuMe editorial team · A consultation preparation guide. This does not replace an individual clinical assessment.

Start with what matters to you

A consultation begins with a conversation, not a commitment. You might be interested in your skin, facial expression, volume, or an area you would like to understand better. Describe what you notice in your own words. You do not need to arrive knowing which treatment to choose.

It can help to write down one or two priorities before your visit. Are you looking to explore a specific concern, understand a previous recommendation, or learn what options exist? A clear starting point makes the conversation more useful.

Make room for your questions

Ask who would provide your treatment and what their qualifications are. Ask how suitability will be assessed, what options are available, and why a particular approach is being discussed. You should also be able to ask what happens if you decide to wait.

Discuss possible risks, expected recovery, follow-up, and the limits of what a treatment can achieve. Your provider should answer these questions in relation to your individual assessment. A photograph or someone else’s experience cannot predict your result.

Talk about the practical details

Tell the team about important dates, travel, and scheduling needs. Ask for a written explanation of the proposed costs and what is included. If a plan involves several appointments, ask how they would be spaced and how progress would be assessed.

Bring information about previous treatments and anything your provider asks you to prepare. Share medical history and other clinical details directly with your provider through the appropriate process, rather than through a general appointment form. Do not change medication or skincare on your own in preparation for a visit.

Leave with a clear next step

Before you leave, check that you understand the options, the proposed costs, and whom to contact with further questions. You can take time to consider your decision. An informed consultation should leave you with clarity about your next step.

At ReNuMe, you can begin by requesting a visit and sharing your treatment interest. Our team will contact you to discuss scheduling. The enquiry itself does not confirm an appointment.
